About This

  • Monarch Butterfly - Common Milkweed provides a wonderful habitat for Monarch Butterflies. With declining Monarch populations in the US, these host plants are an important and beautiful addition to your garden. A herbaceous bush with full clusters of pink star-shaped flowers. Grows 24-40" tall. Minimum of 400 mg per packet (about 100 seeds).
  • Productive - Milkweed germinates in 10-15 days when soil temps are 75-85°F. Plant 1/4” deep and space 18-24” apart in an area with Full Sun. This variety will grow 3-4’ tall with a spread of 1-1.5’. Flowers will mature in 40-50 days, plant in USDA zones 3-8.
  • Pollinator Friendly - Milkweed is a native to most eastern and southern US states. It produces purple/pink clusters of flowers at the end of the branches and is a favorite wildflower among gardeners. Enjoy milkweed flowers outdoors in your butterfly garden. Readily self seeds.
  • Easy to Grow - Instructions included on each packet. Plus, we are available to answer all your questions. If these seeds don’t germinate, we will happily make it right for you
